Research Focus
The research is focused on the development of bioanalytical detection tools. Research is in part applied, i.e. focusing on solving a specific problem important to the safety of humans or animals, and for clinical diagnostics. This includes research toward the design and prototyping of sensors for the use in resource-limited settings, such as Sub-Saharan Africa. Other parts are involved with more basic research toward the development of bioanalytical tools. Biochemical, microbiological and nanofabrication research is being used to reach these goals.
