Research Focus
My major resarch focus has been geomicrobiology and biogeochemistry of Mn-oxidizing bacteria.|I have also done pioneering research on deep subsurface and groundwater microbiology and, more recently on the survival and fate of Cryptosporidium parvum in the NYC watershed.
