Research Focus
Research program currently focuses on the development and application of various interactive optimization and simulation models and decision support systems that can integrate geomorphic, hydrologic, ecologic, economic and social processes taking place in river basins or regions. Such models are commonly used for predicting impacts of management decisions and for creating shared understandings among stakeholders involved in river basin or regional planning and management.
Current Research Projects:
- Watershed Information Management System
- Biocomplexity: Physical, Biological, and Human Interactions Shaping the Ecosystems of Freshwater Bays
- Classification of health of stream ecosystems in NY State draining into the Great Lakes
- CD-Web Watershed Information on Cayuga Basin
